Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about our services, process, what camera gear we use, or anything else? Check and see if we answered something you're curious about below!

How much does it cost to hire you?

Our wedding packages start at $5,000 Canadian dollars to hire us for weddings in British Columbia, and $8,500 for Weddings in North America. This includes tons of goodies so check out the Packages page for all the details!

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, to secure your date we require both a signed contract and a 25% retainer fee.  This goes towards the total package price with the remaining payment being due one month before your wedding.

Are all the photos edited?

Yes! All of the photos you will receive from us will be edited and retouched to perfection.  We pride ourselves on our true-to-life color editing, so all the photos you receive will reflect your day in all of its natural beauty!

How many photos will we receieve?

You will receive a minimum of 800+ final edited photos from your wedding.  The final number will depend on how many hours of coverage you have.  Along with the wedding photos you will receive 100+ photos from your engagement session, and 100+ photos from your formal session!

Do you travel outside of Vancouver?

Absolutely! The base package includes travel costs for weddings anywhere within British Columbia, and the Travel package includes our travel anywhere in North America.  We love traveling for weddings and would be thrilled to go anywhere you'd like us to be! 

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all forms of card payments and etransfer for Canadian banks.  For card payments, we send over an invoice that can be paid online.  We can break the invoices up into segments if needed/ preferred as well.

When do we get the photos?

We send out a sneak peek within 72 hours of your event so you get a small taste of the final gallery and you can make editing requests.  The final gallery would then be delivered within 2-6 weeks after the event day.

When does our gallery expire?

Your online gallery never expires! It will always be up to you to access even years after your wedding.  We pay the extra amount for unlimited storage so you never have to worry about losing your photos.

Can we print our own photos?

Yes, you're more than welcome to take the photos to any other printing services. However, we cannot guarantee the quality of other print services, so if you're concerned about quality ask us about our own Vancouver local printing shop or what places we recommend for good prints!

Do you offer albums?

We do yes, we can help you find the best place to get them made or we can make them for you!  Album prices start at $350 but depend on how many pages and the type of album you are looking for.  

What if we need to reschedule?

We do have a rescheduling fee of $200 if we are given less than 4 months notice. If we are given more than 4 months notice there is no fee, just let us know the reason and new date and we will send over the contract to be adjusted and resigned.

What is your cancelation policy?

If you do need to cancel, for whatever reason, let us know ASAP and we will make sure any future payments are canceled and void the contract.  While the deposit is non-refundable, it is transferable towards future photo services with us.  This way you don't completely lose out on what you have paid towards your package.

Can we meet you before booking?

Of course!  We can arrange an in-person meeting or set up a video chat depending on where you are located and our schedules.  We offer free consultations with all of our potential couples.

What if it rains?

We have documented days in all sorts of weather conditions and always prepare for rain regardless of the season.  If it downpours on your day don't stress! We will make the best of it and help you have the best day possible.

How many photographer are provided?

All of our wedding packages include a lead photographer and a second photographer for the entire day.  Some events may require an assistant as well.  For any event longer than 5 hours we do require that all team members are fed, we will make sure you have plenty of heads up on how many of us there will be.

What gear do you use?

I myself (Tris) use Nikon cameras while my seconds use Canon. I know most teams try and use the same exact gear for weddings but I personally don't see a need to make everyone have the same camera.  I find the slight differences add variety to galleries and I would rather my team be 100% confident in how to use our gear than have us use the same cameras.  I use a Nikon z6ii as my main body and a Nikon D810 as my second.

Do we do events that are't weddings?

Yes! We cover corporate and private events other than weddings all the time.  If you have an event of any kind that you'd like documented reach out and tell us about it.  Every event deserves to be captured and we would be thrilled to preserve those memories for you.

Do we back up the files?

Yes!  We never delete any files even years down the road.  I have backups of every project I have ever worked on dating back to 2016!  We also don't format our SD cards until after your wedding gallery has been delivered just in case something happens to the two hard drives we store your files on.  Your photos are in good hands!

How far in advance should we book you?

We typically book weddings up to 18 months in advance for more popular summer dates and 8 months for weddings in the fall and spring during the slower seasons.  

I suggest the following times for weddings in these months;

January, February, March, and April - 4 to 6 months before 

May, June, July, August, and September - 12 to 18 months before

October - 8 to 12 months before

November and December - 4 to 6 months before

Personally, I recommend having your date nailed down and then looking into photographers as soon as you're able to.  Summers and September book up pretty quickly and you want to make sure you get a team you're in love with If you book us far in advance and our prices change between then and your event you'll be booked in at the rate we agreed on.  Your package price will never change unless significant changes are made to your event, such as changing the location from Vancouver to New York.  Otherwise, your package price is locked in the moment your contract is signed.
